BARBOURSVILLE, W.Va . (WOWK) – Police dogs and their handlers across the Tri-State will soon be better equipped thanks to a lot of pizza! On Thursday, law enforcement from across Cabell County and Little Caesars Pizza franchisees came together to celebrate the successful 2025 Little Caesars “Pizza Pizza Paws” campaign. The funds raised will supply K-9 handlers with their choice of an air harness, a leather agitation muzzle or a GPS collar. Little Caesars Pizza is excited to announce the kickoff of our annual Pizza Pizza Paws Campaign! During the month of April we will be hosting a fundraising campaign at local Little Caesars locations to provide an “Essentials Kit” to police K-9 handlers in West Virginia and surrounding departments in Kentucky & Ohio. A few items included in the kits; a tactical collar, high grade leash, water bowl, kong toy and a water backpack. To help create awareness for our $30,000 goal. We have posted campaign thermometers inside 55 Little Caesars locations (48 in WV, 4 in KY and 3 in OH ). This important campaign is to increase support and awareness for the police K-9 divisions in our communities. Some of the K-9 divisions are funded by donations and personal contributions, mostly by the handlers themselves. “It’s an honor for us to help support the police K-9 Divisions. The 2020 campaign was cancelled due to COVID concerns. Last years campaign supplied DOGTRA GPS tracking collars to over 100 handlers in 70 police departments. We believe that although small in comparison to their everyday operation, we can assist the police K-9 divisions and help fill a void. Sabrina Donahue-Moore, VDM Management Group marketing director, said the 2021 Little Caesars Pizza Pizza Paws campaign successfully reached and exceeded the fundraising goal for this year. She said the goal was to provide one DOGTRA GPS tracking collar to over 70 police K-9 departments throughout West Virginia and surrounding states. “With great community support, the $20,000 goal was surpassed and the campaign brought in $30,000,” she said. “That allowed an additional 30 tracking collars to be purchased for the departments, bringing the total to 100.” “We are very appreciative to our customers and community partners for helping make this years Pizza Pizza Paws campaign a great success.
